Central Florida’s largest Lunar New Year celebration. Lion dances, kung fu, K‑pop, and food from across Asia, all in one park downtown.
Now in its sixth year, Celebrate Lunar is Orlando’s Asian festival for Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year. It fills Luminary Green Park with a full day of music, movement and flavor. Lion and dragon dancers parade through the crowd, while the main stage runs from taiko drums and kung fu to classical Chinese and traditional Indonesian dance, Hanfu showcases and K‑pop.
At five, the Dynasty of Dance breakdance battle takes over. Between sets, take in the lantern installations and browse 100+ local curated vendors, with chefs from about eight Asian countries. Celebrate Lunar is produced by Heritage and Hope and began with local high school Asian American clubs.
Orlando’s Lunar New Year festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is in its sixth year at Luminary Green Park: lion and dragon dancers in the crowd, a main stage of taiko, kung fu, classical dance, Hanfu and K‑pop, the Dynasty of Dance battle at five, and 100+ local curated vendors.
